You can become a member of this Choir by calling the Music Office to schedule an appointment with Mr. Beverly to explain the details pertaining to participation. Chancel Choir participation is required for each person involved in other choral groups of the Music Ministry.
All programs and selections at FUMC reflect a reliance on and love for God and His Word and the belief that He expects our excellence in all aspects of music involvement. Summer Show/Dinner Theater brings an evening of fun and fellowship while it raises funds for the annual production of Festival of Lights.

Children’s Choirs sing in worship and special events.
THE MUSIC PHILOSOPHY FOR CHILDREN'S CHOIR....... There's nothing so pleasing to God's ear ( and to ours) as the sound of little children singing His praises! Music is one of the happiest experiences in the life of your children and to hear your children sing naturally and spontaneously, whether at home, school or church, is truly one of God's richest blessings. Just as we train our children in His ways through the Bible, we can train them to find pleasure and satisfaction in doing something that comes intuitively as they praise their Creator at an early age.
The Children's Choir Program of First United Methodist Church is designed to enrich and enhance the musical foundation by introducing songs with a rich heritage of Christian songs and tunes. Instruction in hymnody (hymn singing) is also a vital component of the program and will allow you to share in the singing of hymns in the worship service with your children. Music and instruction in this program is age-appropriate. Its presentation encourages enthusiasm, participation, and creativity and hopefully will inspire our young singers to develop their musical talents in an atmosphere that is both fun and challenging.
Solid Biblical teaching is the foundation of the musical education program which we offer. We strive to present God's Word in a creative musical atmosphere.
